Bidvest company, Konica Minolta Medical South Africa’s (KMMSA) high tech stand received positive feedback from the organisers, radiology professionals and competitors alike at SORSA-RSSA Imaging Congress 2013, which took place from 23 to 25 August at the International Convention Centre in Durban. The cutting edge stand was the ideal backdrop to showcase the company’s innovative products and solutions.

At the event, KMMSA featured its 14 by 17 inch and 17 by 17 inch AeroDR plates on the stand, which deliver high image quality, reliability and easy workflow integration into general radiography environments; as well as their latest innovation in technology the  new AeroDR digital radiography 10 x 12 inch plate, the world’s lightest, wireless digital radiography (DR) flat panel detector, which is an ideal solution for paediatric exams due to its small size with superior dose efficiency.

Furthermore, visitors were able to see the organisation’s state-of-the-art radiology information and picture archiving and communication system (RIS/PACS), RamSoft PACS, of which KMMSA is the sole distributor.

Those SORSA-RSSA Imaging Congress visitors interested in the solutions side were treated to demonstrations of PACS and presentations of Konica Minolta Medical’s computed radiography (CR), PACS, printing and DR solutions, which also included its new AeroDR X-70 x-ray system. This complete digital x-ray system provides a flexible, high quality digital imaging solution that will transform any practice or medical room into a digital suite.

“KMMSA really had a fantastic experience at the SORSA-RSSA Imaging Congress 2013, meeting all of the objectives set out before the show,” says Juneid Docrat, general manager at KMMSA. “First and foremost, we were able to create interest in, demonstrate and promote our technology and solutions before a highly qualified audience of key decision makers and KMMSA users. Secondly, we were also able to showcase to potential clients how our solutions and hardware can work together to achieve results previously not possible in this country.  Finally, businesses were made aware of our abilities, the quality and cost effectiveness of our solutions as well as our support and maintenance, positioning us well ahead of the competition.”

The event ended on a high note for the company, with a lucky draw at the stand, undertaken by Professor Leon Janse van Rensburg, the RSSA Congress chairman. The Lucky winner, Ntokoza Moses, from the Public Hospital in KZN won a Samsung WB100 digital camera.
