Konica Minolta South Africa upcycles trash to art

| 11 November 2014

Staff in the head office debtors department of Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa, have proven the age old adage that "one man's trash is another man's treasure." The debtors team has created an array of life-sized colourful characters, all creatively made from old cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and other packing materials used for the packing of the company’s multifunctional devices during their shipment to South African shores.

"What started off as a once-off event eight years ago, has now become an annual feature, explains Dora Burzelman, national credit manager at Konica Minolta South Africa.  "Staff in the department usually start working on the theme in October, before the big reveal in December."

This year's theme is all about vivid, bright colours and has been aptly named 'Colour Carnival'.   All characters and decorations will remain in the debtors area until June 2015, the financial year end of the company.
