Konica Minolta scoops recognised design award

A globally recognised design award has been presented to Konica Minolta in further recognition of the industry leading design of its flagship AccurioPress C14000 Series of production presses. The technology leader has been named winner of the prestigious “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021”, with the awards receiving a record number of entries this year.
Unveiled successfully in October 2019, the award-winning presses - which also included the AccurioPress C12000 – are assisting Konica Minolta’s mission to support the transformation of its customers by sector and industry, predicting potential challenges and creating solutions together.
An international jury remarked on the “outstanding” design of the AccurioPress C14000 Series, which was also recognised in the “Good Design Award 2020” from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion six months ago. The AccurioPress C14000 prints at 140 pages per minute (PPM) in A4 and is 40% faster than any other toner-based machine from Konica Minolta. The AccurioPress provides the same high print quality and a similarly fast speed of 120 ppm.
“Never before in the 60-year history of our design competition have so many companies and design studios faced the professional judgement of our international jury as this year,” said Professor Dr Peter Zec, Founder and CEO of Red Dot. “Products from 60 countries reached us, and their design quality and degree of innovation were evaluated in a process lasting several days. The fact that Konica Minolta claimed its place in a strong field speaks for the excellent quality of its products. The international jury only awards this sought-after seal of quality to products that feature an outstanding design.”
