Konica Minolta bizhub i-Series portfolio extended to include new A4 monochrome devices

The company's new multifunctional devices offer enhanced performance, increased security and modern interfaces

In today's increasingly fast-paced work environments, employees depend on equally powerful technologies supporting them to manage their huge workload, whether they are collaborating in small teams or workgroups within big corporates. For this reason, Konica Minolta South Africa aims to ensure that the technology their customers employ is easy and intuitive to use.

To fulfil these needs, Konica Minolta has launched its new A4 monochrome devices, bizhub B4750i, bizhub B4700i and bizhub B4050i multifunctional devices locally, which are the direct successors to the bizhub B4752/B4702/B4052.

Setting these MFPs apart are features such as their larger memory as well as higher system storage SSD. This enables these devices to boast quicker processing times and consequently be faster in operation. Also adding to this quickness in operation is the fact that the scanning speed has increased significantly.

Furthermore, the devices include a function to detect document double feeds, meaning that the scanner stops automatically as soon as multiple document sheets have been fed at the same time. This prevents unwanted and time-consuming device malfunctions.

Konica Minolta’s ‘Intelligent Connected Workplace’ concept is designed to meet these requirements and takes them into account when developing products. “Technology must also be easy and intuitive to use. Employees should not have to spend too much time figuring out how to get processes up and running. Instead, they should work smoothly and as quickly as possible. Konica Minolta’s new bizhub i-Series devices will complement our portfolio by bringing the same well-known user experience of our existing products to the A4 monochrome segment.” says Mohammed Vachiat, Head of Sales and Innovation at Konica Minolta South Africa.

Easier to use, harder to hack
The larger touch panels of 7” or 10" on the varied new devices together with the intuitive user interface (UI) allows for more comfortable and easier operation, removing the need for extensive training of staff.
Hacker attacks lead to immense damage and unnecessary additional costs. This is also applicable to MFPs since these devices are integrated into networks and as a result, can also become the target of hackers. To ensure the highest security standards, Konica Minolta partnered with Bitdefender, allowing for the installation of the latest anti-virus solution from the IT security company as an option. This enables the system to monitor scanned files and documents transferred to and from the device in real time and automatically protecting the device against viruses at all times.

The bizhub B4050i, bizhub B4750i and the bizhub B4700i is now available in South Africa.
