Konica Minolta South Africa launches new A3 colour devices

| 10 April 2017

JOHANNESBURG – May 10, 2017 – Konica Minolta South Africa, a division of Bidvest Office (Pty) Ltd, has introduced the new bizhub C458 and C558 models to the local market. As the successors to the bizhub C454e and bizhub C554e, these A3 colour office devices meet the efficiency and speed requirements of companies with highly productive divisions (such as Global Major Accounts), or vertical departments, including legal and finance.

With colour printing speeds of 55ppm for the bizhub C558 and 45ppm for the C458, both devices are capable of creating a variety of printed material in-house and offer a selection of multi-functional finishers that can, for instance, produce booklets or Z-folded documents.

“These user-friendly multi-functional printers can help to increase productivity within the workplace by saving both time and effort,” explains Greg Griffith, business solutions product manager at Konica Minolta South Africa. “Ultimately, the bizhub C458 and C558 allow our clients to focus on their own core businesses, offering the perfect platform for collaboration, while also bringing fluidity and security to document workflow.”

The best possible operability and technology
New features on the multifunctional printers include a 10.1” touchscreen panel and a more powerful processor that enables ease-of-use and operability. Additionally, the new interface can be effortlessly customised to support users in their routine tasks and the panel provides smooth and responsive navigation through the menu.

Thanks to the new developments in capacity levels and the high-speed dual-scan document feeder, scanning large volumes is straightforward, emphasising the reliability of these devices. In addition to the high-productivity automatic document feeder (ADF),
ultra-sonic sensors ensure that each original has been scanned or copied, as well as preventing multi-feeding and improving the security of archiving workflow.

The compact bizhub series are also exceptionally versatile, featuring multi-functional finishers available for producing various types of output including different options for folding letters, a handy tri-fold function for creating invitations and the stapled handout function.

Saving space and costs
The bizhub C458 series is perfectly suited to offices with limited space. Even though the device is highly productive, the Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) value is amongst the lowest in its class. As with other bizhub models, the bizhub C458 series is equipped for the ultimate mobile experience and set up for connectivity. Not only do these machines support pairing with mobile phones and can print content directly from handheld devices, they are also set up for near field communication (NFC).
