The bizhub Highveld Lions are proud to announce that naming rights sponsor, Konica Minolta South Africa, has agreed to extend its association with the franchise for the 2016/17 season.
The sponsorship, which has been in place for the past 13 years, still holds the record for the longest standing in this category in cricket.
The partnership has seen many successes but it is the silverware in the cabinet as of late that has shown the true value of a dedicated and longstanding association.
“Konica Minolta South Africa is proud to continue with our patronage of the bizhub Highveld Lions cricket team for the thirteenth consecutive year,” says Alten Hulme, chief sales and marketing officer at Konica Minolta South Africa. “Our continued support has been for the love of the sport and as an investment in the development of the bizhub Highveld Lions players, as well as the franchise and the game itself within South Africa at large.”
“Sport and sponsorship have become inseparable, even more so if we wish to grow and commercialise this game. The sport industry provides a unique platform for brands that speak to those that passionately follow and love the game,” said Greg Fredericks, Chief Executive Officer of the bizhub Highveld Lions.
“Konica Minolta South Africa has not only been able to expose its brand globally through this association but has also invested in the success of the franchise, encouraging us to continuously improve and grow. The company’s continued support has provided a stable foundation on which we have been able, and will continue to, build our success.”
“Alten and his team are passionate bizhub Highveld Lions supporters and we hope to continue this mutually beneficial partnership for years to come,” commented Fredericks.
